Global specialty chemical company, Champion Technologies, has been recognized by a key industry measuring process for its performance in the areas of health, safety, environment and training following an independent audit.
Out of a total of 10, Champion received impressive industry ratings of 9.2 for QHSSE and 9.3 for training and competence from the First Point Assessment Limited (FPAL) ‘Verify’ programme. The results demonstrate the firm’s focus on becoming the premier provider of chemical solutions for the oil and gas industry.
The assessment follows on from a significant investment in new systems and training, and continuous improvement with existing processes by Champion Technologies ensuring the firm has its clients and staff at the forefront of its operations.
Neil Cousland, UK business manager at Champion Technologies, said: “The FPAL results are a prime example of how Champion is demonstrating excellence in the market place. We aim to continually improve and enhance our standards within training, competency, health & safety and environmental areas. As FPAL is completely independent, it gives us an excellent representation of how successful the investment and commitment to our processes and policies has been.
“Our vision to be the leader in our sector has been realized, and this assessment is a great example of who we are and what we are capable of.”
FPAL works to identify, qualify, evaluate and monitor suppliers on behalf of its Purchasing members. It was established in 1996 and is governed by an industry-based steering committee.
